About Us

The Editor-in-Chief's Letter to All

To our most esteemed readers, subscribers, and friends,

Welcome to IB Monthly, a student-run bilingual newspaper dedicated to the students of Dayuan International Senior High School (DYSH). Here, we provide everyone with a safe space to share their works and ideas, a platform that encourages frequent interactions and collaborations, and we ensure that everyone is treated with the utmost respect. We strive to build a closely linked student community on top of the IB Department (and eventually the whole DYSH), and hope to bring students, teachers, and the school itself together.

Yours sincerely,

Pei-Chi (Peggy) Lee 李沛頎

Policies of IB Monthly

Mission Statement

IB Monthly is a platform dedicated to and entirely for the students of Dayuan International Senior High School (DYSH). We seek to report on events and information relevant to the DYSH community, and we aim to encourage the exchange of ideas within our school. To maintain the quality of the paper, IB Monthly is rigorous in its fact-checking procedure, strict in its zero-plagiarism policy, and we intend to respectfully display works with full credits to the creator and author. It is our ultimate goal to expand IB Monthly above and beyond the international International Baccalaureate department of DYSH, and through ethical, professional, and responsible means, we endeavor to push beyond our limits.

Finally, as we have the responsibility to maintain and protect this respectful platform, we'd like to emphasize the importance of the International Baccalaureate mission statement once more. IB Monthly makes it our top priority to encourage fellow students to "become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right" (International Baccalaureate Organization, 2022).
